Houses given to poor family at Subonochar

On Monday afternoon, the South Korean company POSCO International and the managing director of Bangladesh’s top local industry group PHP Family, Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, built 11 paved houses in No. 4 Char-Wapda Union of Subarnachar, Noakhali and handed them over to the poor families.
It may be noted that POSCO-PHP families are constructing 600 square feet houses made of iron, concrete and colored corrugated iron for the poor. Each of the three rooms has two bedrooms, a sitting room in the middle, a front porch and a bathroom. Outside this structure is a kitchen. Houses have been selectively built for families who own land but are poor and cannot afford to build houses.
The cost of constructing each house is 4 lakh 70 thousand taka. Colored corrugated iron from the PHP family has been used in the construction of the house, ensuring quality and durability. Earlier last December, 5 houses were constructed and handed over in the same area.
