Withdraw blockade

We request the BNP chairperson to withdraw the countrywide non-stop blockade programme in no loss of time to clear the way to Tongi in Gazipur district where the first phase of the three-day Bishwa Ijtema begins from Friday. If it is done, it is better. But if it is not done, that will be an act of imprudence only. Tens of thousands of Muslims from home and abroad assemble at Tongi every year on the bank of the river Turag for love of Allah only.

No space for people

By announcing January 5 as Democracy Day, the Awami League led government has made a cruel joke with the people because people think otherwise, they look upon it as Death of Democracy Day. Their voting right was snatched as if they do not count.
So, when political parties arranged programmes protesting it, people supported them. They are not happy with the unjust actions of the government, it is not giving space to other parties to hold their scheduled programmes while Chatra League is allowed to do anything it wishes and that with the help of the law- enforcing agents .
But it is a grave mistake of the government, in the long run they will have to regret for their actions.
