2 arrested along with stolen copper coils

2 persons were arrested along with 50 kgs copper coils (cables) stolen from Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Plant at Rampal (under Rampal Upazila) in Bagerhat district from the out side of the eastern area of the power plant by a contingent of Rampal Ansar Battalion-3 in Wednesday morning, according to a report received here.
Sources informed that a contingent of the Ansar Battalion-3 conducted a raid at the out side of the eastern area of the Power Plant, arrested 2 thieves and recovered more than 50 kgs, copper coils, one coil-cutter (device) and a smart mobile phone from their possession. The approximate market price of the recovered cables is Tk. 75 thousand. The arrested thieves are Md. Yusuf Shaikh (24), son of one Firoj Shaikh hails from the village Sonakur under Rampal Upazils and Md. Imrul Gazi (35), son of one Barek Gazi hails from the village Adaghat under the same Upazila in Bagerhat district.
