Actress Jyotika Jyoti appointed Director of Shilpakala Academy

Prominent actress Jyotika Jyoti charmed the audience with her excellent acting skills on the silver screen with multiple hit productions like ‘Anil Bagchir Ekdin,’ ‘Maya-The Lost Mother’ and ‘Laal Moroger Jhuti’ amongst many others.
Jyotika Jyoti has been appointed the Director of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Yesterday a notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration appointing her on the contract for two years.
The notification stated that the Director of Shilpakala Academy has been appointed on contract for the next two years from the date of joining on the condition of severance of working relationship with other institutions and organisations.
Jyotika Jyoti’s ancestral home is in Gouripur, Mymensingh. She completed her graduation in English from Anandamohan College in Mymensingh. During her postgraduate studies, she joined the Polytechnic Theatre in Mymensingh. However, she did not have the opportunity to go on stage for this theatre group. In 2004, Jyotika Jyoti placed in the top ten in the Lux-Anandadhara Photogenic Competition. In 2005, Jyotika Jyoti’s debut movie ‘Ayna’ was released. She then played notable roles in Belal Ahmed’s movie ‘Nondito Noroke’ and Tanveer Mokammel’s movie ‘Rabeya.’
