Mother commits suicide at Taltali

It has been alleged that a housewife (35) of Taltali, Barguna, committed suicide due to humiliation as her daughter’s offensive video went viral on social media on Saturday (March 11) night.
Local hooligan Asadul Howladar (25) of Laupara area of Sonakata Union of Taltali upazila under Barguna district was harassing a young girl (13) studying in 8th grade at the local school.
Once Asadul intimidating the girl forced her to make love with him and secretly recorded nude pictures of her.
After showing the video to the girl’s mother on March 8, Asadul demanded Tk 50,000 and threatened to make the video viral on social media if the money was not paid within a day.
After a day passed, Asadul spread the video on social media without getting the money and it went viral. The housewife then drank acid water from the battery on Thursday (March 9) morning and rushed to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where doctor on duty declared her as brought dead.
