National Disaster Preparedness Day observed in Kapasia

Keeping in mind the theme of “Smart Bangladesh’s commitment, disaster preparedness at all times”, Kapasia Upazila Administration and Upazila Project Implementation Officer Office of Gazipur organised a public awareness exercise, rally and discussion meeting on fire and earthquake issues to celebrate the National Disaster Preparedness Day 2023.
On Thursday (March 9 morning), a discussion meeting was held in the meeting room after the rally and disaster preparedness public awareness exercise at the Kapasia Upazila Parishad square.
Chairman of Upazila Parishad and Vice President of District Awami League Advocate Md. Amanat Hossain Khan, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nazmul Hussain, Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad Asaduzzaman Asad, Women Vice Chairman Roshan Ara Sarkar spoke on the occasion under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) AKM Golam Morshed Khan. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Mamunur Rahman, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Kohinur Rahman, Upazila Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Md. Shakeel Ahmed, Upazila Rural Development Officer Dilara Akhtar Moni, Kapasia Fire Station Incharge Dewan Azad, Sub-in-charge Habibur Rahman, teachers, students, people from different professions and fire fighters were present.
