Promising batter of Bangladesh Cricket team Najmul Hossain Shanto scored his 3rd half-century in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket. Shanto struck a magnificent 51 against England cricket team in the first T20I at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Thursday. His 30-ball innings was studded with eight fours. His superb half-century powered Bangladesh to earn an easy six-wicket win over England . One-down Shanto and second-down Towhid Hridoy contributed together 65 runs for the third-wicket stand before Hridoy was caught at the midwicket by Sam Curran off Moeen Ali when Bangladesh’s score was 108 for the loss of three wickets. Shanto was bowled out by Mark Wood when Bangladesh’s total was 112 for the loss of four wickets. Shanto was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding innings. It was Shanto’s third T20I half-century. The left-arm batter made his debut in T20I cricket against Zimbabwe in Chattogram on September 18 in 2019.
Shanto played 18 T20I cricket matches after his debut. He scored 435 runs. His highest score in T20I cricket is 71 runs. Shanto had a notable 24.58 average. His strike rate is 112.98.
