Speaker expresses shock at casualties in Gulishtan explosion

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Wednesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the casualties in a fatal explosion at a building near to the BRTC bus counter at Gulistan in the capital city.
In a condolence message, the Speaker prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of the deceased and conveyed deep sympathy to their bereaved family members.
She also has sought quick recovery of the critically injured people who are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the capital.
At least 17 people were killed and more than 100 injured in an explosion at a building in Dhaka’s Gulistan area on Tuesday evening at 4.50pm.
