LPG price reduced by Tk 76 per 12kg

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been reduced by Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
As per BERC’s decision, the price of 12 kg cylindered LPG has been slashed by Tk 76 to Tk 1,422 at the consumer level.
In February, the price of 12kg cylinder was increased by Tk 266 to Tk 1,498.
Then, the price of LPG was substantially increased by Tk 22.15 per kg to Tk 124.85 from the previous price of Tk 102.70 per kg.
The BERC announced the new price through a circular on Thursday.
The circular was signed by BERC Secretary Barrister Khalilur Rahman Khan.
Earlier, in April 2021, the price of LPG sold at the private level in the country was fixed first time. Since then, price adjustments are being made regularly every month. On February 2 last, the price of 12 kg
cylinder was hiked by Tk 266 to Tk 1,498. The BERC has reduced the LPG cylinder price by Tk 76 after a month.
From now, 12kg containers will be sold at Tk1,422 instead of Tk1,498.
The new price will be effective from Thursday (February 2), the BERC circular said.
