PAd Day observed at IU

The Teachers and students of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia observed Public Administration Day-2023 on the campus amid festivity and much enthusiasm on Wednesday chanting the slogan ‘Lokproshasoner ongikar, Su-Shason o Jonobandob Sarkar’.
Celebrating the day, IU Public Administration department brought out a colorful procession from the front of Mir Mosharraf Hossain academic building around 10:30am.
The procession was ended at the Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Central Auditorium of the university after parading the main streets of the campus.
Later, a discussion programme was held at the auditorium presided over by Professor Dr M Lutfor Rahaman, chairman of the department.
IU pro vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman addressed the event as the chief guest while Treasurer Prof Dr M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan and Social Science faculty’s dean Professor Dr AKM Motinur Rahman spoke as special guests. Shammy Akter and Ashikur Rahman jointly conducted the programme attended by over and above hundred students from various session of the department. At the beginning of the programme, the meritorious students of the department have been rewarded with the chairman’s award for their outstanding academic result.
Professor Dr Fakrul Islam, convener of the Public Administration day celebration committee, delivered the welcomed speech at the ceremony.
Later, a cultural function was held participated by the students of the department.
