JnUja’s President Tanveer, General Secretary Mamun

Jagannath University Journalists Associa-tion(JnUJA) Executive Council Election-2023 results have been declared. Mahmudul Hasan Tanveer, JnUbcorrespondent of daily Kalbela newspaper was elected as president and Md. Mamun Sheikh, JnU correspondent of daily Janakantha was elected as general secretary.
Mahmudul Hasan is a 12th batch student of Mass Communication and Journalism Department and Md. Mamun Sheikh is a 13th batch student of Philosophy Department of Jagannath University.
Chief Election Commissioner Sulaiman Salman announced the election results at 4 pm on Monday (February 27). He was accompanied by Election Commissioner Mahbub Mumtazi and Jubair Hussain Sami. Earlier, the polling started at 11 am at the office of Journalists Association and continued till 2 pm.
The winners of the other positions of the executive council are Sagar Hossain (The Daily Campus), 12th batch student of Education and Research Institute Department, Vice-President, Raihan Ahmed, 13th batch of Mass Communication and Journalism Department (Jago News), Joint General Secretary, Mass Communication and Journalism Department, 13th Batch of Organizing Secretary Mass Communication and Journalism Department. Batch Minhajul Islam (Dainik Manabkanth), Treasurer Zainul Haque of 13th batch of Political Science Department (Manbazmin), Department and Publication Editor Imran Hussain of 14th batch of Bangla Department (Dainik Samakal).
