Rakhi Sawant admits the script given to her for money

Bollywood’s controversial drama queen Rakhi Sawant is synonymous with one
discussion and debate after another.

‘Rakhi Ka Swayamwar’, which aired on Colors TV in 2009, was one of the biggest hits in the history of Indian reality shows.

The drama of her choosing Canadian businessman Ilyash Parujanwala over 16 other suitors created a stir across the country.

However, after 17 years, Rakhi came and broke the truth about the show. In a recent interview, Rakhi admitted that the swayamvar was completely fake and she acted in it only to get money to buy a flat for herself.

Rakhi Sawant, appearing on comedian Raunak Rajani’s show ‘Relationship Advice’, said, “I was very young and at the very beginning of my career.

My aim was not to fall in love or find a son-in-law. My aim was to survive in Bollywood and buy a house of my own.” Remembering her own needs, Rakhi added, “I was living in a rented house.

I thought that if I did the work on TV, raw notes would come into my account and I would be able to buy a flat of my own in Lokhandwala. They were explaining the script on one side and giving me money.”
