The inauguration of ‘Mohanagar Paribar Dibosh-2023’ organised by Mahanagar Puja Udjapon Parishad was held at Dhakeshwari National Temple in the city. Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Sadhan urged all to resist communal forces and play role in building a non-communal country. “We had communal forces in the country during our War of Liberation and they still exist. We’ve to resist these communal forces, reports BSS. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to build a non-communal country,” he said. “We have to find our roots, we have to expand our culture by organising social cultural functions. Cultural expansion will free us from fanaticism,”
he added. The function was attended,among others, by lawmaker Haji Md Selim, National Press Club General Secretary Shyamol Dutta, Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad President JL Bhoumik and Professor Chandranath Poddar. President of the organization Manindra Kumar presided over the event.
