BNP relies on its grassroots for strengthening agitation

Grassroots level activists and Medium stages leaders of the BNP have turned into vitality of the party’s ongoing agitation.
The party insiders said that while the ruling Awami League leaders started delivering ridiculous speeches about the stamina of the BNP’s movement, the medium level leaders and lower staged activists and supporters of the opposition party showed their strength by participating programmes with huge number.
“I always was saying that the grass roots level workers and supporters of the BNP will be sited in the steering of the anti-government movement. As a result, the agitation would not be stopped
before achieving its final success,” Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the party said.
Showing of his recent Facebook post, Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah said “I have posted my statement on Facebok wall before started the recent movement, that the grassroots level workforce of the party would be the vitality of our planned agitation. That is being proved day by day.”
He said that the party’s designation less workers and supporters are now showing their capability, eagerness and enthusiasm of making the agitation fruitful.
When contacted, Shama Obayed Islam, Organising Secretary of the BNP told The New Nation, “It is true that the speed of the pace of the movement may be weaken and revived frequently. But our grassroots level workforces have proved their strength. They proved that they are promising workforce of the party.”
Shama Obaed said, the party obviously could rely on its activists and grassroots level leaders for taking the agitation towards a fruitful stage so that the government must be compelled to nod on our demands.
The BNP have started its new phase of movement against the government to press home its 10-point demands including abolishing the current parliament and the resignation of the AL government; forming an impartial election-time caretaker government.
It also included cancellation of the sentences of all opposition party leaders, including its party chief Begum Khaleda Zia.
The party had organised its divisional rallies and other programmes since last year.
BNP’s senior leaders said that they would not accept any national election under this government.
They strongly said that the party will make the government compel to form an election time caretaker government through strong agitation keeping the people together.
When contacted, Professor Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Senior Member of the National Standing Committee of the BNP told The New Nation on Wednesday, “We are happy and assured to our grassroots level activists about their utmost and spontaneous participation on the agitation.”
The senior leader said that the medium level leaders of the party also have played vital role keeping the movement stronger day by day.
He said that all the leaders, workers and supporters are participating boldly in streets movement ignoring the government’s forces tortures, bullets and huge numbers of cases.
The party men as well the general people have now won the fear of bullets and cases. They become uncompromised power and vowed to force the government to accept their demand of holding election under a caretaker government soon.
