Man’s body recovered in Pakundia

Police have recovered the body of a man from the bank of the old Brahmaputra river in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified Md. Ismail (42) of a Shilpata craftsman.
Ismail is the son of Nilu Mia in Charkhama village of Pakundia upazila.
The Officer-in-charge (OC) in Pakundia police station, Md. Sarwar Jahan confirmed the truth of the incident and said that Ismail used to work on carving silk from his sister’s house in Charkhama area. He went to work in Somna and did not return home at night. On Tuesday morning, locals informed the police after seeing his body on the bank of the old Brahmaputra river. Later, the police went and recovered Ismail’s body.
The body was sent to Kishoreganj 250 bed general hospital morgue for autopsy. The Locals and Police also said that there were injury marks on his face.
