Price of commodities further rise, people suffering

The people have been suffering much with the unusual price hike of the essential commodities as they are failing to bridge between income and expenditure.
The prices of atta, rice, sugar, oil, eggs, chilli, broiler chicken, fish have increased in kitchen markets. After visiting Bara Bazar, Kachari Bazar, Puranthana Bazar in Kishoreganj on Monday , the situation of the market was known. Consumers and general traders asked the dealers and factories to emphasize monitoring to control this situation.
Meanwhile, every day there are reports of daily commodity price increase. But on the contrary, people’s income is not increasing. Middle and low income people are suffering.
According to them, if the government does not bring the market situation under control, then the situation of the common man will be worse.
Instead of increasing the price of everything, the income needs to be increased. He has requested those concerned to pay attention to this. Last year (2022) in the middle of August, the syndicate traders had increased the price of eggs from Tk 180 to Tk. 185 per dozen.
Within 10 days, the price of fish, broiler, chicken has increased more and now per kilogram broiler chicken being sold at Tk 210 to 215 whereas one week earlier it was Tk160 to 165 per kg while Pakistani verity of chicken isTk300 to 310 per kg.

Alam Sarowar Tito , President of CAB in Kishoreganj said that when there is an unstable situation in kitchen market, the traders are generalised as dishonest, which is harmful to the country’s economy.
The DNCRP, Assistant Director (AD) Rahday Ronjon Bonik said that it is necessary to have an invoice of sake to stop the anomaly price hike of the daily essentials.
The Kishoreganj Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI) President Mujibur Rahman Belal has asked the treaders, – retailers, wholesalers and mill owners to keep supply normal and prices within people’s buying capacity during the holy month of Ramadan.
