Falgun mela and pitha utshab held at Kathakali Nursery School

Kathakali Nursery School on Tuesday organised a day-long Falgun mela and pitha utshab on its premises at Gopibagh in the capital.
Nasrin Khair, principal and founder of the school, inaugurated the festival.
A variety of pithas, like tal, bokul, narkel puli, ring pitha, bhapa, golap pitha, beni pitha, mung pakon, dudh chitoi, patisapta and more were sold at several stalls all day long.
Apart from the mouth-watering pithas, different kinds of clothes were also on display.
A large number of guardians and people from neighborhood thronged the venue to get a taste of different varieties of pithas, an integral part of our winter.
Besides, students dressed in “bashonti” color (yellow or orange) celebrated the day by singing songs, reciting poems and dancing.
Established in 1994, Kathakali Nursery School, aimed at spreading modern education for the children’s intellectual development.
