Admission test: DU 29 April, BUET May 20

The admission tests for the undergraduate programme of the academic session of 2022-23 at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) will be held on May 20. And the Dhaka University (DU) admission test will begin from April 29.
The recommendation of the BUET admission committee will be finalized at Academic Council meeting. University authorities will issue a notice setting the date after getting the council’s approval.
Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman, Director of Students’ Welfare at BUET, confirmed this on Friday.
The tests will be taken in two steps. The preliminary test will be held on May 20 where a number of 18,000 students can take part.
Candidates who pass the preliminary test will take part in the final admission test on June 10.
Besides, the admission test of Dhaka University (DU) will start from April 29 by holding Fine Arts Faculty (Cha Unit) entry test.
The admission test will be held under four units from this year. The Arts, Law and Social Sciences (Kha unit) admission test scheduled to be held on May 6, Science (Ka) unit on May 12 and Business Education unit (Ga unit) on May 13.
Like the practice of previous years, the admission test of DU will be held at eight districts.
The admission expecting candidates will be able to apply for DU from February 27 and it will continue till March 20.
