Burnt actress Sharmeen Akhee now able to speak after accident

Actress Sharmeen Akhee was being kept at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sheikh Hasina National Institute
of Burn and Plastic Surgery after
she was caught in an accident.
The actress had been seriously injured in an explosion that took place in the make-up room of a shooting location in the capital’s Mirpur area. Several parts of Akhee’s body, including her hands, legs and hair were burnt in the explosion. After her condition became somewhat stable, she was moved to the High Dependency Unit (HDU). After spending three days at the HDU, the actress was finally able to speak.
While talking about update on heath condition of Sharmeen Akhee, her husband and director Rahat Kabir told the media, “Akhee was brought to the HDU as she started feeling a bit better. Her health is improving and she is able to speak, little by little. She let us know that she is feeling better. If her health improves further, we will transfer her to a cabin.”
He also said, “Sharmeen Akhee is still unable to walk, however she has been moving her limbs. Doctors have advised movement to speed up the recovery process.”
