BD expects the return of the money borrowed by Sri Lanka by September

Bangladesh has been expecting the return of the $200 million loan borrowed by Sri Lanka by September this year as the economy of the island country is improving gradually from its moribund financial condition.
“We supported Sri Lanka in their bad days. They are very grateful for it. Now they are gradually recovering. We have given them time for the repayment of the loan by September,” Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said.
In reply to a query about his visit to Sri Lanka to attend their ‘Independence Parade’ on Saturday, Foreign Minister told this to the journalists at the State Guest House Padma on Sunday.
About the current situation of Sri Lanka, he said, “Some people and media were disappointed for the huge arrangement of Colombo amid their economic crisis.
