2 arrested along with copper coils

Two members of a gang of thieves were caught red handed along with more than 5 Kg copper coils and a motor cycle from the gate No.2 of Bangladsh-Inia Friendship coal based power plant Under Rampal Upazila in Bagerhat District at a night by three members of Ansar Battalion, according to a press release issued by the power plant authorities on January13.
 It is stated in the press release that acting on secret information 3 members of a contingent of Ansar Battalion of Rampal camp raided the power plant on Thursday night and found a motor cyclist is going out from the (main) gate and his associate is going out from the gate No.2. Then the Ansars halted them and after searing them recovered more than 5 Kg copper coils worth Tk. 5 thousand from the seat cover of the motor cycle.
Later, the Ansar held the thieves and seized the copper coils and motor cycle. The arrested thieves and seized copper coils and the motor cycle were handed over to police of Rampal PS.
The arrested thieves are Pritom Mallik (40), son of one Minar Mallik of village Suvodia under Fakirha Upazila in Bagerhat district and Deepon Mallik (18) son of one Dipal Mollik of the same village.
It may be mentioned here that stealing of copper coils, steel pipes and other valuable materials of the power plant is almost a regular feature.
