Woman jumps from building and dies at Gulshan

A young girl died and another one was seriously injured after jumping from a building at Gulshan-2 in the capital on Wednesday (January 11).
The deceased has been identified as Farzana, 19, wife of one Jahid Hasan, from Baliadanga village under Batiaghata upazila in Khulna.
The incident took place on Wednesday noon on the Road No. 47 in Gulshan-2.
After the incident, they were rushed to Dhaka Medical College & hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition where the duty doctor declared Farzana dead at 4:30 pm. Another injured woman is undergoing treatment in the emergency department of DMCH.
Sources said, Dhaka North City Corporation raided a spa center in Gulshan on Wednesday noon.
Gulshan Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Alamgir Hossain said, we came to know that the city corporation’s operation was going on in the spa center. Later we rushed to the spot and rescued the two injured women and took them to the emergency department of DMCH where the doctor declared one of them dead. Another injured woman is undergoing treatment.
