Floating people shivering in severe cold

City dwellers are shivering in winter. In this winter, the people who are stranded and uprooted are suffering the most. Many do not have warm clothes on.
They made temporary houses by wrapping polythene on the pavements of different roads in the city. There are four or five people. This includes children and adults. To escape from the cold, many are burning paper on the side of the road for warmth.
This is the regular picture of last few days. Talked to a beggar named Hussain Ali in Cheragi Pahar area yesterday around 7 pm. He is begging with a blanket around him. On questioning Shita, he said, two days ago, a man gave him the blanket. He spends the night in Chittagong railway station and Badna Shah Mazar area. Meanwhile, the most floating people in the city are seen in the railway station area.
Their life is like where the night is. Last night, a woman named Shaheda Akhtar was seen sitting under the bridge of Station Road with her three-year-old child wrapped in a sari. It is obvious that he is shivering in the cold. When asked, he said, “Even if it’s cold, what else is there to do?” I don’t get warm clothes anymore.
