Two killed in Bhuapur road accident

A mother and daughter have been killed in a head-on collision between an auto-van and an oil truck at Bhuapur upazila in Tangail. The accident took place on the Bagbari bridge in the upazila of Bhuyapur-Bangabandhu Setupurba road on Thursday afternoon. The deceased were as Parul Begum 35, wife of Shahidul Islam, a cloth merchant of Bilchapra village of the upazila, and her daughter Choya Moni, 3.
Faeidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Bhuapur Police Station said that the deceased Parul Begum and her daughter were on their way to their village home Bilchapara while reaching at Bagbari area on Bangabandhu bridge approaching road, the van carrying them collided with an oil carrying truck coming from the opposite direction leaving both of them death on the spot. Later, local seized the truck making efforts and informed the police.
The OC also said that the body handed over to the family after completing all the legal procedure.
