Youth gets 10 years jail for arms case in Kishoreganj

A Tribunal in Kishoreganj on Thursday afternoon has sentenced convicted criminal to 10 years rigorous imprisonment in a case filed for illegal procession of arms case in Bajitpur upazila of Kishoreganj
The convicted criminal Masud Mia (30), son of Asad Miah in Shampur village under Maijchar Union of Bajitpur upazila
Senior District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Saidur Rahman Khan gave the verdict in the presence of the accused.
The Public Prosecutor (PP) in Kishoreganj Advocate Abu Saeed Imam confirmed the verdict.
According to Case Diary (CD) , on the night of January 18, 2022, the police arrested Masud with weapons after conducting raids in Shyampur Primary School area of Bajitpur Upazila. At that time, a domestic shotgun was recovered from him. Later, a case was registered against him under Arms Act at Bajitpur police station.
