We certainly had limitations, says BCB CEO

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury admitted their blunder and explained why DRS could not be implemented in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Shakib al Hasan was disappointed over the absence of such a key technology in a tournament that has been played for more than 10 years in the country. He also raised questions against the board for such poor arrangements.
“Our production team informed us about this matter two to three months ago. After that, we tried our best to bring DRS. We have also contacted the ICC about this. But for some reason that could not happen. Because several international crickets and franchise leagues are going on at this moment. Due to these reasons, we could not bring DRS,” said Nizamuddin.
Since the Hawk-eye and virtual-eye are not available, the BPL Governing Council was unable to bring DRS in this edition. As a result, BCB decided to operate ADRS. The past BPL season also saw the use of ADRS after eight matches when DRS was not available.
