Journo Main Uddin Ahmed dies in NY

Senior journalist Main Uddin Ahmed (Selim) passed away on Monday in New York, USA.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Jamaica Hospital, said his son Reaz Ahmed posted on his Facebook post on Monday noon.
Main Uddin Ahmed was born in Bhimpur village of Chatkhil upazila in Noakhali district. During his long career in the field of journalism, he worked for The Bangladesh Observer as an Editing Assistant.
He served The Morning Sun as a Sub-Editor, The New Nation as a Sub-Editor, International Desk-in-Charge, Metropolitan Desk-in-Charge, and Central Desk-in-Charge in The Independent. Main Uddin Ahmed was also the Editor of online news portal-englishnewsbd.com.
Jatiyo Press Club President Farida Yasmin and General Secretary Elias Khan have expressed their deep shock over the death of Main Uddin Ahmed, a senior member of the club.
