Mild cold wave sweeps parts of Bangladesh

A mild cold wave is sweeping over the northern districts of Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Naogaon and Sreemangal upazila of Moulvibazaar district, according to the met offices.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said that the mild cold wave might have abated in 24 hours commencing from 9:00am of Saturday.
A regular bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department said that the weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
Meanwhile, moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight till Sunday morning.
“Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country
during the next 24 hours till 9am on Sunday,” BMD bulletin said.
Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the BMD forecast said.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 29.3 degrees celsius at Teknaf of Chattogram division, while the minimum temperature on Saturday was 8.7 degrees celsius at Tetulia of Rangpur division.
The sun sets at 05.22pm on Saturday and rises at 06.41am on Sunday in the capital.
