Attackers will be identified: DMP

Staff Reporter :
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have taken the Jamaat-Police clash in the Mouchak-Malibagh artea of the capital very meticulously.
DMP Commissioner Khandkar Golam Faroq said that those who attacked the police will be brought to book. He said this at a press conference organized on the occasion of Thirty First Night at DMP Media Center on Saturday (December 31).
Khandkar Golam Faroq said, we got some information from our intelligence surveillance. They were supposed to march from the front of Baitul Mukarram, but when they changed their previous schedule and tried to march from the front of Rampura Abul Hotel. They were stopped by the police and finally came to Mouchak-Malibagh area.
Jamaat did not take permission from the police for the mass rally. We take this matter very seriously as they took out a procession without permission and attacked the police.
Many police officers have been undergoing treatment. We are trying our best to identify the attackers to prosecute them for justice.
He said, we are in a tough position. In this way none will be spared from doing illegal activities and attacking law enforcement agencies.
Several cases will be filed in this incidenmt and those involved in the case will be arrested, Khandkar Golam Faroq said.
