MTB elects new chairman and vice chairman

Md Abdul Malek has been elected as the chairman of Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB). He was the Chairman of Sheltech Consultants (Pvt) Ltd (SCPL). SCPL has earned good recognition both locally and internationally and successfully completed many projects, some of which are the Asian Development Bank (ADB), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), European Economic Community (EEC), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Finnish International Development Agency (FINNIDA), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Department for International Development (DFID), and Directorate General for International Cooperation (DGIS).
He also has vast experience in the garments sector. He served the bank as vice chairman for the last two years, reads a press release.
The Founding Chairman of MTB and Pioneer Insurance Company Limited, Syed Manzur Elahi has been elected as the Vice Chairman of MTB.
He served as the chairman of the MTB Board Executive Committee of the bank and is the chairman of Apex Group, a leading business conglomerate in Bangladesh.
He has won various awards for his contributions to trade and industry including the “Business Executive of the Year 2000”.
