2 Bangladeshis shot dead in BSF firing on Lalmonirhat border

Two Bangladeshis were shot dead allegedly by members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on the Dolpara borders in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred near main pillar number 888 of Dolapara border of Barakhata union of the upazila.
The deceased have been identified as Sadikul Rahan Sadik, 22, son of one Hafizar Rahman from Dolpara village and Najir Hossain, 45, son of one Abdus Samad from the Hatibandha upazila.
Abdul Jalil, Commanding Officer of Dolpara BGB camp, said the BSF members opened fire on some Bangladeshi nationals, including Najir and Sadik, who went to the border area to bring cattle.
They were killed in the firing on the spot, he said.
