Workshop on fact checking at Khagrachhari

PIB in Khagrachari organised the two day-long training workshop on fact-checking in journalism at Khagrachari Press Club on Tuesday and Wednesday . Journalists working in the district participated in this training. PIB Deputy Director Zakir Hossain, Workshop Coordinator Zilhaj Nipun Bhuiyan and AFP Fact Check Editor Badruddin Shishir were the trainers.
Khagrachari Hill Zilla Parishad Chairman Mongsuipru Chowdhury Apu was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the training on Wednesday. Khagrachhari Press Club President Jiten Barua presided over the event. PIB Deputy Director Zakir Hossain was the special guest. Zilhaj Nipun Bhuiya gave the welcome address. Jewel Chakma, former member of Khagrachhari Zilla Parishad, among others, was present at the event.General Secretary of Khagrachari Press Club Abu Taher Mohammad, President of Khagrachari Journalist Union Pradip Chowdhury etc.
At the end of the programme, Chief Guest Mongswipru Chowdhury Apu distributed certificates among the trainee journalists.
