Female journalist’s body recovered in capital

The decomposed body of a female journalist has been recovered from the city’s Moghbazar area on Tuesday night.
Police recovered the dead body of Sharmin Shabnam, a journalist of an online news portal ‘The Report’, from her residence around 10.30pm of the night.
Abdur Rashid, Officer-in-Charge of Hatirjheel Police Station, confirmed the matter to the media and said that she might have committed suicide. Inspector Mejbah of Hatirjheel police station is investigating the matter. The reason and motive of her death will be known after investigation.”
The dead body has been kept in the Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
Sharmin’s husband, Saidul Islam, is a reporter of Asian TV.
After the incident, victim’s husband has been absconding, OC added.
