Man held with firearms, ammunition in Rajshahi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-crime drive, arrested an alleged top-listed firearms trader with two firearms and ammunition in the district on Thursday night.
RAB sources said the arrested person was identified as Al Amin, 24, son of Muhammad Alauddin of Chalk Mukterpur village under Charghat Upazila in the district.On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at Sadhurmore area under Puthia Upazila in the district around 8.30 pm and arrested the person and recovered two foreign made pistols, three magazines and four rounds of bullets after searching the house vigorously.
The RAB team detained the person for his long-term involvement in firearms trading and trafficking.
A case was filed with Puthiya Police Station in this connection and the arrested person along with the seized firearms and ammunition was handed over to police .
