Purura High school governing body election held

The governing body election of the renowned Purura High School founded by the late Aftab Uddin and the elder brother of former President Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed was held in a fair manner. Out of total 1253 votes, 853 votes are casted where Md.Atikur Rahman got 673 votes on the other hand, Md.Aminul islam Bhuiyan Jewel got same votes.
Md.Mahmudur Rahman got 499 votes and Md. Kamrul Islam got 492 votes. Upazila Youth Development officer Md. Anisuzzaman khan served as Presiding officer in the election.
It’s noted that Former Minister and veteran freedom fighter Advocate Md Mujibul Haque Chunnu served as the head of the Ad-hoc Committee for improving the quality of education and infrastructure of the institution.
