Another SP sent into forced retirement

Another superintendent of police had been sent on forced retirement on Tuesday. Munir Hossain, Special Superintendent of CID, on special duty (OSD) since 2011 had been sent on retirement on Tuesday for public interest, according to a circular issued by the Home Ministry.
Between October and November, the Ministry sent two Additional Deputy Inspector Generals and four SPs on retirement.
On October 16, the government also sent on retirement the information and broadcasting secretary Mokbul Hossain on the same grounds.
According to the notice, Md Munir Hossain, special superintendent of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), has been sent on compulsory retirement
according to section 45 of Public Service Act, 2018.
The order will come into effect immediately in public interest, the notification said.
Earlier, two police officers of the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General and four SPs were sent on compulsory retirement in October and November this year.
