Millions of Tk embezzled in porno video trap, 6 held in capital

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested six people for allegedly looting crore of Taka by trapping online porn videos.
Musa, the ringleader, operated video live streaming sites through more than 120 agencies across the country.
Asaduzzaman, head of CTTC, told this information in a press conference at DMP Media Center on Thursday (December 15).
Earlier, on Wednesday, the accused persons were arrested from different areas of the country including Dhaka conducting various raids.
The accused have been identified as Abu Musa Imran Ahmed Sani, Md. Abu Shama, Fatima Akhtar, Shayla Akhtar, Shah Arman and Md. Salim.
During the drives, 11 mobile phones, 17 SIM cards, 2 laptops, check books of various banks and debit-credit cards were seized from them.
CTTC chief Asaduzzaman said, according to the steps taken by the government, obscenity and porno sites have been closed one after another in the country. However, cybercriminals continue their criminal activities with new techniques. The Cybercrime Investigation Division of the CTTC has come to know about the unethical activities of Dream Live, an international live video platform and mobile application of Top Class Entertainment.
Later, the owner of that application site Abu Musa Imran Ahmed Sani and his associates were identified in Bangladesh. Accused Musa used to operate video live streaming sites through more than 120 agencies across the country, CCTC chief dded.
