Half of BNP’s movement has been defeated: Quader
Staff Reporter :
Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that BNP has been politically defeated as they could not held the rally before their party headquarters at Naya Paltan.
“The half of the BNP’s movement has already been vanished through arranging their rally at Golapbagh after relinquishing the Naya Paltan vanue,” Quader said.
He said this at a rally organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League in the capital’s theater stage on Friday.
He said, “Those who insisted that they would hold their rally in Naya Paltan, are now at Golapbagh. Who has been defeated now, we or BNP? They have been defeated half.”
AL General Secretary warned that if the BNP brings sticks or fire to their rally, it will be a ‘game’.
He said, “Everyone should be ready and be alerted. If anyone will bring sticks or fire, Khela Hobe. We have given up a lot, now we will not give up.”
Assuring the people of Dhaka city, Quader said, ” They (BNP) will remain in Golapbagh, we are going to Saver. People have nothing to panic. We are in power. Why would we want chaos?
At the time, the AL leader said, “BNP will swallow whole Bangladesh if they come to power. They cannot be given that chance. The colorful dream of BNP coming to power will vanish like camphor.”
Mentioning to the journalists, Obaidul Quader said, “Bring out the truth. Some media have determined to bring BNP to power. Who they are will be responded in time. When I see some media at night and in the morning, do not seem to have any other party here. Is there any party without Awami League?”
