Mayor Taposh attacked in Old Dhaka

An attack happened on the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh when he was inaugurating central playground in Bakshi Bazar.
The students of Govt Madrasa-e-Alia reportedly did it. Few of them were injured as a result.
Madrasa student clashed with police personnel also.
Police, however, detained a student named Al Amin from the spot.
Eye witnesses said the clashes ensued at 1pm when DSCC Mayor Taposh went to inaugurate central playground at Bakshi Bazar.
The students of Govt Madrasa-e-Alia claimed the field of their own.
The protesters started throwing brickchips and chairs when the mayor reached the spot for inauguration. Later, mayor Taposh escaped the scene immediately.
Police also fired bullets to disperse them.
