Robi Career Carnival

Robi Axiata Limited organized a day long program named “Robi Career Carnival” at Khulna University (KU) on Saturday. Robi organized this program to make the students of KU aware of the career opportunities available with the company and the industry at large.
Robi had set up Career Booth inside the campus where information regarding internship opportunities as well as regular employment scopes was informed to the students. Besides, KU students were also able to drop their CV in the career booth.
In the career carnival the KU students were introduced to Robi with a detailed brief on its business operation. Students were also made aware of the Axiata Group Berhad (The parent company of Robi Axiata Limited) based in Malaysia and its global footprint.
Career at Robi session highlighted the job opportunities available at Robi. KU students were also informed of the possibility of overseas posting opportunities in any of the operating company of Axiata Group Berhad spread across Asia.
Three sessions namely “Career Development”, “Career at Sales” and “Alternate Career” were held as part of the career carnival. Students were appraised about the factors that they need to concentrate on to develop a career. In this session the importance of having right attitude was stressed by experts in order to have a successful career.
Besides, in the session on Alternate career the students were informed of opportunities in the mobile telecom sector that goes beyond their academic discipline but equally challenging and rewarding. A career session in Sales discussed in depth the challenges and opportunities in a career in Sales.
With the active participation of KU students a lively question and answer (Q&A) session was held. Besides, the students took part in case competition where they had to solve real life problems. At the end of the competition, prize was distributed among the winners. In addition, a quiz completion was held for the students. An on campus recruitment test was also held for the students of Khulna University.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharmin Sultan, Vice President, Resourcing said that “Robi Career Carnival aims to make the students aware of the factors that they need to look at for having a successful career. While we are happy to recruit the right candidates for our growing company, we would want the Khulna University students to take away some valuable lessons imparted by our high performing officials who will help them to grow as professionals in whatever career they choose for themselves”
