‘Rickshaw Girl’ finally to release in cinema halls

Amitabh Reza Chowdhury directed movie titled ‘Rickshaw Girl’ has received numerous awards and
praises in various international film festivals. Now the Bangladeshi viewers want
to watch the movie in cinema halls. Director Amitabh Reza is planning on releasing the movie in January 2023.
Amitabh Reza told the media that they are currently waiting for the censor certificate. While talking in this regard, he said, “In fact, everything depends on the censor certificate right now. As soon as we can get the permission, we will be able to declare the official release date of the movie.”
The ‘Aynabaji’ famed director has been showcasing the English version of the movie in film festivals. However, he plans on releasing the movie in Bangla for the Bangladeshi audiences.
It is noted that recently, ‘Rickshaw Girl’ was released on OTT platforms including Apple TV, Amazon, Hoopla, Kanopy and Vudu.
The movie received rave reviews on international platforms including the Prescott Film Festival in the USA and the SCHLiNGEL International Film Festival in Germany. Producers of the movie include Ziauddin Adil, Faridur Reza Sagor, and Eric J Adams. The movie is a joint production between Bangladesh and the USA.
