Two motorcyclists killed in Tangail road mishap

Two motorcycle riders, including an official of Krishi Bank were killed when a bus rammed them on the Dhaka – Tangail Highwayon Monday . The accident happened in Karatipara area of Basail Upazila .
One of the deceased was identified as Abul Hossain (55) son of Abu Saeed of Maytha Gachpara village of Basail upazila of the district. He was working in Delduar Upazila Krishi Bank. The identity of the other person who was with him was not found yet.
Molla Tutul, Officer-in-Charge( OC) of Highway police said, two riders were going towards Tangail on a motorcycle. Meanwhile, reaching at Karatipara bazar area a speedy North Bengal-bound bus hit them from behind.
Due to this, two riders died on the spot. After the incident, the bus driver and assistant ran away immediately from the spot.
He also added that the bodies of the deceased along with the bus and motorcycle have been kept at the police station.
