Fertilizers, seeds distributed

Under the auspices of Mollahat Upazila Agriculture Extension Department fertilizers and Robi-crop seeds were distributed among 2,680 poor and marginal farmers of 07 Unions under Mollahat Upazila in Bagerhat district in a ceremony held in the local Agriculture Office-premises on Thursday morning (at 10 am) in order to create incentive among them (farmers) to cultivate Rob crops in the current spring harvest period under the ‘Incentive Programme of the Government’. In the ceremony some 220 kgs wheat seeds, 150 kgs mustard seeds, 120 kgs sunflower seeds, 130 kgs Khesari (pulse) seeds and 30 kgs maize seeds. In the ceremony Shahidul Alam Chana, Chairman of Mollahat Upazila Parishad was present as the chief guest and distributed the fertilizers and Robi crop seeds among the farmers while it was presided over by Khondokar Raabiul Islam, Upazila Nirbhi Officer (UNO) of Mollahat. The function was conducted by Animes Bala, Upazila Agriculture Officer of Mollahat. It was attended among others by the people’s representatives, officials and the steak holders.
