‘CMCH to become more patient-friendly’

Various initiatives are being implemented to transform Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) into a patient-friendly healthcare facility, said Chattogram City Mayor and President of the CMCH Management Committee Dr Shahadat Hossain. He made the remarks while inaugurating the renovation and modernisation of the hospital’s traditional bottola on Sunday.

Epic Healthcare Limited has taken the initiative to beautify and modernise the traditional bottola and create a more comfortable environment for patients and their attendants. The initiative is expected to help reduce the fatigue and mental stress of patients and their relatives while they wait for various services, as well as enhance the overall appearance of the hospital premises.

At the inauguration ceremony, the mayor said Epic Healthcare’s initiative to beautify the CMCH premises was highly commendable.

“Various initiatives are being implemented continuously through the management committee to make CMCH not only a centre for medical services but also a patient-friendly, clean and well-organised healthcare institution,” he said.

T M Hannan, executive director of Epic Healthcare Limited, said, “Healthcare is not limited to providing treatment.

A clean, beautiful and humane environment is also an important part of well-being. We are happy to contribute to improving the environment of an important institution like CMCH.” Director Mohammad Jasim Uddin, DGM Soumen Palit, DGM Suman Ranjan Bhowmik, DGM Amirul Islam and other officials and employees of Epic Healthcare Limited were also present at the event.
