Two die in Gaibandha road accident

A woman and her granddaughter were killed in a road mishap that took place in the Tulshighat Bazaar area under Sadar Upazila here today.
The deceased were identified as Sabina Begum, 45, wife of Ashraful Islam of Chhoto Boulerpara village under Palashbari Upazila, and her granddaughter Tia Mony, 5.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar thana Masudur Rahman said when Sabina along with her granddaughter Tia Mony was crossing the road Tulshighat Bazaar area on their way to bring Bhapa pitha (cake) around 6 am, a bus ran over them, leaving them dead on the spot.
