One held on charge of making fake certificates of honors-masters

The elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-10) has arrested a member of the gang who produced fake certificates of Higher Secondary Education Board and various public and private universities.
The accused has been identified as Shaon Hossain (20). He was arrested on Tuesday night in a raid in Keraniganj area of Dhaka.
At that time, eight fake certificates, two monitors, two CPUs, two keyboards, two mice, a printer, a scanner, a laminator, six cables and four packets of wrapping film were seized from him.
On Wednesday (November 16) afternoon, RAB-10 Assistant Director (ASP) Enayet Kabir Shoaib confirmed the matter and said that based on secret information, a team of RAB-10 conducted a raid in Kalatia area of Keraniganj Model Police Station of Dhaka district on Tuesday.
Shaon, a member of the fake certificate making gang, was arrested in the operation. Based on the interrogation, Shaon said that he had been making fake certificates of honors and masters of various public and private universities including SSC, HSC, Dakhil, Alim and National University of various education boards for a long time.
Apart from these, he used to create various types of fake documents including fake voter ID card, fake testimonials. The accused used to do these things in exchange for money. A case has been filed against the accused in the police station, RAB officials added.
