Couple killed in Tangail road mishap

A couple was killed on the spot after being hit by an unknown passenger’s bus at Kalihati upazila in Tangail on Sunday.
The accident took place near bridge number 11 of Salla area of Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway on Sunday around 8:30 p.m.
The deceased were identified as Amirul Islam( 36) and his wife Shumi (26) from Arjhighorira village of Natore district .
Confirming the incident Shofiqul Islam, Officer -in-Charge ( OC), Officer of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station said the couple going to Natore from Dhaka on a motorcycle. While reaching at Salla bridge area an unidentified passenger’s bus hit their bike from the back and rammed leaving them death on the spot.
On information police recovered the dead body from the spot and took them to police station for identification purpose.
The OC also said that as there was no complaint from the relatives, the bodies were later handed over to their families after completing all legal producers.
