Bando Design became runners-up in the World Corporate Championship Football Tournament after losing to Oman by a solitary goal at Dubai Sports City in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday night. Bando Design represented of Bangladesh in the football competition.
Earlier, Bando Design beat Jordan by 4-3 goals in the tie-breaker of the semi-finals. The stipulated time was ended in a 3-3 draw. Thus, the fate of the semi-final was decided in the tie-breaker and Bando Design won the match to move into the final.
Bando Design thrashed Lebanon by 7-2 goals in their first group match.
Bando Design made a 2-2 draw with Nigeria in their second match.
Bando Design drew 2-2 with the hosts UAE in their third group match.
Bando Design emerged the group champions and reached the semi-finals of the football meet.
Managing Director of Liala Group and Director of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Imranur Rahman crossed the 400-goal landmark in these football competitions.
A total of sixteen teams splitting into four groups took part in this year’s football meet.
