Couple’s hanging bodies recovered in Sylhet

Police recovered the hanging bodies of two spouses from their rented house in Sylhet city on Sunday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Ripon Das, 28, son of one Subhas Das, a resident of Razabaz village in Jamalganj upazila of the district and his wife Shipa Talukder, 25. They have a two-year-old girl child.
Being informed by locals, police recovered the couple’s hanging bodies from two separate rooms in their house in Pathantula area around 11 am.
Neighbours said, we never heard their quarrel. Still, we don’t understand why they both committed suicide by hanging themselves. Nibaran Das, brother of deceased Shipa Das, alleged that his sister was hanged first and then sister-in-law Ripon committed suicide.
