One child killed, another injured after eating poison
Bagerhat Correspondent :
Asma (03) was killed and her elder sister Asia (04) was seriously ill in the village Gangni-Sarkarpara under Mollahat Upazila in Bagehat district when they ate fired rice (Bhaja Chaal) mixed with rat-killing poison on Thursday noon, according to a delayed report received here. Both the sisters are the daughters of Enamul Shaikh, a cow trader of the village.
It is learnt from the affected family-members that on the day at noon the baby sisters went to a garden, adjacent to their residence to collect ‘Kath Badam’, one kind of local fruits where they found fired rice mixed with rat-killing poison left by some one, ate the same and returned home. But after a few minutes they fell ill and at that time the elder sister disclosed the matter to her mother of the matter.
